POSSIBLE SURVEYING POSITIONS


  1. Rodman - entry level position; no surveying experience required; willingness to work outdoors and with others.
  2. Instrument Person - minimum of 2 years experience; ability to run Nikon Total Station with onboard data collector; ability to run Leica System 1200 GPS unit; good communication skills.
  3. Junior Party Chief - minimum of 4 years experience in the field of surveying; must have great communication skills; read blueprints and surveys; understand field notes and legal descriptions; coordinate geometry a plus.
  4. Party Chief - minimum of 2 years experience as Junior Party Chief; must know coordinate geometry and how to conduct boundary surveys, topographic surveys, tree surveys, elevation certificates and construction staking.
  5. AutoCAD Draftsman - minimum 2 years experience with surveying drafting using AutoCAD 2000 or newer; post processing of field data; understand metes and bounds.
  6. Office Technician - ability to research from county courthouse; prepare legal descriptions; compute boundary and area; deed plot/study; AutoCAD drafting; experience with Platting a plus.
    • Surveyor-in-Training - must have current certificate of Fundamentals exam; conduct most duties of a Registered Surveyor.
  7. R.P.L.S. - Registered Surveyor
